The pastel drawing overall is in excellent condition given its age. The colors are still very vibrant and quite beautiful. The pictures seen here do not fully reflect the true vibrant colors of the artwork and must really be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Please note, the frame as seen above is NOT INCLUDED in this auction, in order to eliminate the risk of damage to the art itself in shipping. The drawing bears the signature Marc Chagall in pencil in the lower right corner as well as the words "Epreuve d'artiste" (Artist's Proof in French) in the lower left. The artwork measures 50.5 cm x 37 cm (approximately 20 in x 14.5 in) and comes with the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) supplied to me by the gallery when I originally purchased it in 1996. This pastel drawing is sold AS IS, as described. Although I wish I could keep this beautiful piece of art, I must sell it to help me finance some stock market debt.
