This very rare signed poster was printed by Mourlot, Paris.  The lithograph was executed by Charles Sorlier. The poster was printed for the exhibition of mockups and sketches done by Chagall for his famous stained glass windows of Cathedral Metz. The poster is listed in the official "Chagall's Posters, Catalogue Raisonne", edited by Charles Sorlier, page 138. According to the catalogue, Chagall signed a certain number of the posters to show his gratitude to the "Society of Friends of the National Marc Chagall Biblical Message Museum" in Nice, France.Works by Chagall are in major museums and private collections worldwide.
